ANL, a wholly owned subsidiary of the
shipping giant CMA CGM Group, will launch a shuttle service
connecting Fremantle with Port Klang and Singapore on July 20.
The weekly (on fixed-day) Fremantle
Asia Express (FAX Service) will be operated with two 1,100
twenty-footer equivalent units capacity vessels.
Managing director John Lines said
in a statement that the new service was in response to the requests
of ANL’s customers.
“Western Australia’s international
trade has grown strongly and our customers are looking for increased
space and frequency.
“Our new FAX Service will provide
exporters and importers with improved access to South East Asia
(SEA) and beyond, with the ANL and CMA CGM Group global services,”
The vessels, Eagle 2 and Kookaburra
1 will operate the new service in parallel with ANL’s existing
Australia to South East Asia (SEA) as well as SEA to Australia
The transit time from Port Klang (Westports)
to Fremantle will take eight days while the return to Port Klang (Westports)
from Fremantle will take seven days.
ANL is a shipping company that
operates services between Australia and Asia, Europe, the United
States, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
