ANL to launch shuttle service

ANL, a wholly owned subsidiary of the shipping giant CMA CGM Group, will launch a shuttle service connecting Fremantle with Port Klang and Singapore on July 20.

The weekly (on fixed-day) Fremantle Asia Express (FAX Service) will be operated with two 1,100 twenty-footer equivalent units capacity vessels.

Managing director John Lines said in a statement that the new service was in response to the requests of ANL’s customers.

“Western Australia’s international trade has grown strongly and our customers are looking for increased space and frequency.

“Our new FAX Service will provide exporters and importers with improved access to South East Asia (SEA) and beyond, with the ANL and CMA CGM Group global services,” he said.

The vessels, Eagle 2 and Kookaburra 1 will operate the new service in parallel with ANL’s existing Australia to South East Asia (SEA) as well as SEA to Australia service.

The transit time from Port Klang (Westports) to Fremantle will take eight days while the return to Port Klang (Westports) from Fremantle will take seven days.

ANL is a shipping company that operates services between Australia and Asia, Europe, the United States, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
